Visual Data Analyst/Designer

Position Summary

Leidos is seeking a Visual Data Analyst/Designer to join its team at Joint Base Langley-Eustis. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in digital design and multimedia production in support of the Air Combat Command ISR enterprise.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling, mission-focused visual products that communicate complex intelligence concepts with clarity and impact. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all visual and design requests across the Wing, developing innovative solutions that meet customer requirements while ensuring compliance with unit standards.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Digital design expertise with a strong portfolio showcasing social and multimedia work.
  • Support multimedia projects including briefings, presentations, web pages, promotional products, technical illustrations, and computer artwork for manuals and slide shows.
  • Collaborate with Intelligence Specialists to transform complex data sets into clear visualizations that highlight patterns, relationships, trends, and anomalies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the creation of visuals tailored for Intelligence Community (IC) audiences.
  • Provide graphic design and layout solutions for intelligence products.
  • Develop illustrations, edit images, and apply advanced pre-publication techniques.
  • Manage media storage and retrieval through SSA’s digital asset management system, ensuring proper cataloging for operations, delivery, and archival.
  • Provide graphics support for conferences, forums, public displays, and promotional materials.
  • Operate production equipment and software to deliver high-quality visual information projects.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4+ years’ experience conducting analysis in the graphics field.
  • Current DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Experience in motion graphics, animation, or digital design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator).
  • Advanced expertise in Adobe Photoshop for video, audio, image editing, animation, and multimedia presentations.
  • Experience with Corel Draw for unit shield package conversions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Mastery of graphic formats and conversion for post-production and delivery.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Flash).
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, design, and produce illustrations and visual information projects.
  • Experience with Map Publisher.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive (10+ years) demonstrated graphics design expertise and experience supporting Air Force units.
  • Prior Air Force writing experience.
  • Strong presentation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to instruct and advise others in computer graphic techniques.
