Job Title: Service Advisor

Location: Hampton, VA

Pay: $100,000 - $120,000

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

We are recruiting for an experienced Service Advisor to join our client’s growing service team. This is a great opportunity for a customer-focused automotive professional who enjoys building relationships, managing a busy workflow, and helping customers understand their vehicle’s maintenance and repair needs.

You will act as the main point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring a smooth experience from initial check-in through to vehicle collection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers and provide a friendly, professional service experience.
  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
  • Prepare repair orders and communicate maintenance and repair recommendations.
  • Provide estimates, explain recommended work, and obtain customer authorization.
  • Keep customers updated throughout the repair process.
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Review completed repairs with customers and explain services performed.
  • Manage multiple repair orders while maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
  • Help achieve service department sales, customer satisfaction, and retention goals.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in an automotive customer service role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Good understanding of automotive maintenance and repair processes.
  • Confident presenting service recommendations and discussing repair needs with customers.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with dealership or shop management software preferred.
  • Professional, reliable, and team-oriented.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
