Physician – Psychiatry in Virginia

Opportunity Highlights- Schedule: Starting October 2026;
Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; weekend and holiday coverage available; evening telephone consult and callback responsibilities - Job Setting: Inpatient, outpatient, emergency department consultative psychiatry within a Veterans Affairs medical center
- Types of Cases: Adult Psychiatry, Behavioral Health, Crisis Intervention, Medication Management, Suicide Risk Assessment, PTSD, Substance Use Disorders, Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatry
- Credentialing: Full VA credentialing and privileging required prior to start
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Psychiatry
- Certifications: BLS
- Licensure: Active unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or DC; open to any active state license
- Additional Requirements:
- DEA registration
- NPI number
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain VA privileges
