Description
. This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.
As a Locum MD/DO, you will deliver comprehensive medical services, including patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care management. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients within the medical practice setting.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary and acute care to patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary for further evaluation
- Educate patients on preventive care and health management
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations and practice standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license to practice
- Board certification or eligibility in relevant specialty
- Associate-level experience in a clinical or medical practice setting
- Strong clinical diagnostic and decision‑making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced clinical environment
- Current BLS or ACLS certification
Schedule:
Monday-Friday
Shifts:
8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
Weekend and weekday beeper call shifts, 1:4 rotation
Patient Population:
Adults required, pediatrics preferred
Cases:
General, epidural, spinal, regional, obstetrical, neurosurgical, complex vascular, complex ortho, vent management, and central lines
8 ORs
Care Team Model: 4 MDs & 11 CRNAs
Will supervise 3 CRNAs
Anesthesia techs turn over ORs
EMR:
Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
