Saint Mary Star of the Sea School is seeking a Middle School English Composition Teacher. Eligible candidates should possess or be able to apply for VA teacher license. The successful candidate should be passionate about sharing the Catholic faith, have experience in supporting student's learning through world language developmentally appropriate educational activities and lessons, assessments, and hands-on experiences. Capable of creating an inviting, meaningful, and excellent learning environment.
Work in partnership with other staff, parents, and students. Communicate effectively and demonstrate a commitment to advance the mission of the school.
Requirements
Requirements:
- All permanent professional personnel employed at Saint Mary Star of the Sea School must have a degree and be willing to obtain either a VDOE license or VCEA certification in their content area by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Successful candidates will possess a strong commitment to Catholic education, superior communication skills (both written and spoken), strong interpersonal, organizational, and managerial skills, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, flexibility, and a collaborative, hardworking team-oriented approach.
