- Associates degree from a college or university accredited by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Passing scores on the online TCO Academic Testing Course offered by the Defense Activity for Non‑Traditional Education Support (DANTES) if working at a site that administers DANTES exams.
- Knowledge of the Army Personnel Testing Basic Test, and the Army Personnel Testing Defense Foreign Language Program (DFLP) Test, if working at a test site that administers APT exams.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Demonstrated proficient knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and web-based applications.
- Good command of the English language which includes the ability to read, write, understand, and clearly and effectively communicate the language.
- NACI is required for this position.
- Prepare for military test administration by studying the DANTES Examination Program Handbook, viewing the DANTES video "Test Security Is Your Responsibility" and studying the Army Personnel Testing (APT) Test Control Officer (TCO) Handbook.
- Order, receive, control, mail, administer, score, take inventory, and provide test results of both Army Personnel Testing (APT) and civilian examinations to appropriate agencies and institutions as directed by the Test Control Officer (TCO) IAW applicable regulations, policies and other guidance.
- Keep Quality Assurance Evaluator / Test Control Officer informed of all testing issues as they occur.
- Perform test administrative tasks in IAW SOP provided by the Government, and other written directives specific tasks in accordance with applicable regulations, policies and other guidance such as the Army Personnel Testing TCO Handbook, AR 611‑5, AR 611‑6, AR 601‑210, AR 601‑222, USMEPCOM 611‑1, USMEPCOM 601‑4, and the DANTES Examination Program Handbook, Volumes I and II.
Note:
contract Test Examiners are not allowed to sign the following items: test orders, answer sheets, test inventory reports, irregularity reports, and testing agency shipping documents. - Create and maintain a conducive testing environment IAW with SOP and written directives provided by the Government.
- Maintain positive control of all test items and equipment (security of the tests is the Contractor's highest priority). The Test Examiner is authorized to know the safe combination and shall report any test compromise immediately to the Test Control Officer (TCO), Alternate Test Control (ATCO) and Education Services Officer (ESO). The Contractor shall bear the cost of test replacement if the Contractor is found to be negligent.
- Meet all suspenses IAW current testing policy provided by the Government. Suspenses include, but are not limited to, reports, submission of test inventories, returning tests to testing agency, and providing test results to appropriate individuals, agencies, and institutions IAW SOPs and written directives.
- Support special events as requested by ESO (i.e., college fairs, graduation, etc.).
- Maintain work area/office in a clean, neat, professional, and orderly manner.
- Ensure computers and peripherals are clean and operational.
