Hampton University’s Department of Literatures, Languages, and Film is seeking adjunct instructors for SPA 101:
Elementary Spanish I& SPA 102:
Elementary Spanish II courses for Fall 2026.
Elementary Spanish I & II make up the department’s two-semesterintroductory Spanish course sequence. Per the Academic Catalog, SPA
101 and SPA 102 are each an:
Introductory course designed todevelop the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Oral proficiency and communication competence stressed. (SPA 101 isa pre-requisite for SPA 102.)
The Fall 2026 semester runs from Wednesday, August 26 (first day ofclass) through Tuesday, December 15 (last set of grades due).
Requirements- Qualified candidates should have a graduate degree (doctorate preferred) in Spanish, or related field from an accredited university. Experience in and evidence of successful teaching in auniversity setting is preferred.
- Candidates without a Master’sdegree in Spanish or a related field can possess a master’s degreein any field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Spanish or the related field.
