Student Care And Accountability Coordinator
The Student Care and Accountability Coordinator provides comprehensive support for student behavior, conduct, and well-being. This role serves as a hearing officer, adjudicates student conduct cases, co-leads and coordinates the Student Conduct Hearing Board, and actively supports the College's Care Team. The coordinator manages Maxient workflows and case processes, triages student conduct complaints and concerns, and leads campus-wide marketing, programming, and training initiatives related to student conduct and conflict education.
This position plays a vital role in fostering a respectful, safe, and supportive learning environment.
Under the direction of the Dean of Retention and Student Support, the Coordinator addresses student well-being and behavioral concerns across the College and connects students with appropriate services and resources. The role develops and implements college-wide policies, procedures, training, and educational initiatives related to student behavior and student support. The coordinator partners closely with management and staff to determine effective, legally compliant responses consistent with college policies.
The coordinator also serves as a designated independent, neutral, and confidential resource to assist students in conflict management and resolution through informal methods such as consultation, negotiation, and mediation. The coordinator supports the cultivation of a safe, inclusive, fair, and caring educational community that promotes learning and personal development. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing the College's non-academic student conduct process;
coordinating individual and organizational conduct cases; implementing a comprehensive educational approach to help community members understand their individual and collective rights and responsibilities; developing and expanding educational programming focused on conflict resolution, student skill-building, and restorative practices; employing equity-minded best practices in student conduct and conflict education case management.
