New Horizons Center for Apprenticeship & Adult Training is looking for a qualified Electrical Apprentice Instructor to join our exceptional team of apprenticeship-related technical instructional curriculum instructors supporting the Virginia Sponsored Apprenticeship RTI programs. We seek qualified faculty members to teach Electrical RTI (Electrical Theory) for the Fall  school year. The center primarily seeks individuals available to teach evening classes (Monday & Wednesday evenings from 5:30 pm-9 pm) at our Woodside Lane Campus.

Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course basis each semester as needed.

• Education and experience equivalent to a Journeyman Level certification or higher.
• Familiarity with basic utilization of computer and other technologies for instruction (training provided).
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• Some experience training adult learners (in the field or classroom).
• Licensed Virginia Electrical contractor or DPOR issued Journeyman or Master’s license in this specific craft area is required.
• Minimum of 3 consecutive years in the electrical trades performing those trade skills.

Selected applicant must pass a criminal background check. Documents verifying identity and eligibility to work in the United States must be presented upon employment for verification.

$32.00 - $45.00 per hour based on experience and Virginia DPOR license/certification.
