• Assist engineers and scientists in creating, modifying, and testing products and processes.
• Support technical tasks and project activities.
• Set up equipment and monitor tests and experiments.
• Inspect products and processes for flaws and identify areas for improvement.
• Observe results, collect data, and compile summaries and reports.
• Conduct research and development during the creation phase of the product.
• Utilize computer‑aided design and drafting equipment during the design phase.

• Education and Experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2–5 years’ experience OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

• Education: Associate’s Degree.
• Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Technical expertise, ability to understand and follow directions, design expertise, mathematical skills, engineering support, computer‑aided engineering (CAE) software.

• Remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Regular movement throughout GD‑OTS facilities.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• Work a different shift as required.
• Work outside normal business hours as required.
• This position is Safety‑Sensitive.
