* Job Description:

** The candidate will be responsible for improving data input and output extraction workflows within a widely used Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) solver that addresses complex aerodynamic problems across multiple flight regimes, from rotorcraft and aircraft to launch vehicles and reentry systems. This role provides a unique opportunity to enhance a tool relied upon by researchers and engineers across NASA centers and throughout the U.S. aerospace industry.

Approximate salary range for this position is $73,000-$100,000 commensurate with education and experience.
** Responsibilities:
*** Implement efficient algorithms for grid compression and solution compression.
* Explore approaches for a movable data extraction surface for wall modelling efforts.
* Collaborate with the team to enhance the efficiency of the code framework.
* Document findings and present them to stakeholders.
*
* Required Qualifications:

*** Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field;
* ** Familiarity with CFD concepts.**
* ** Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Fortran.**
* ** Experience with High Performance Computing and MPI.
*** Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence

*** Proficiency with Fortran.
* Familiarity with structured-grid CFD algorithms and applications
* Experience with GPU programming.
* Completion of a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field.
