Overview
Advanced Aircraft Company is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of the mechanical design and full CAD assembly of high-performance VTOL unmanned aircraft systems
.
This is a hands‑on role covering concept design, detailed mechanical design, prototyping, flight testing, production transition, composite structures, propulsion integration, payload mounting, and manufacturability improvements.
Qualifications & Experience- 10+ years’ mechanical design experience
- Small UAS / UAV / drone / aerospace systems background
- Strong Fusion 360 experience
- Aircraft structures, composites, 3D printing, and mechanical integration knowledge
- A hands‑on, startup mindset
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to work on‑site in Hampton, VA
This is ideal for a senior engineer who leads by doing and wants to help build advanced unmanned aircraft systems for defense and commercial missions.
