Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia and Orlando, Florida, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. We support the US Department of Defense (DOD) and other federal agencies with planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services.
We are currently looking for a skilled Electrical Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team supporting the CBP Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM). In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing new construction, facility renovations, and infrastructure improvements, ensuring they meet project timelines, budgets, and federal standards.
This position is contingent upon the award of the contract and has a total performance period of five years, including one base year and four option years.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee new facility construction, renovations, and alterations.
- Coordinate site infrastructure improvements, covering roadways, drainage, and utilities.
- Provide advisory support in civil engineering disciplines, including reviewing design submissions.
- Manage project milestones, quality assurance protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct investigative services, surveys, and geotechnical studies.
- Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and related documents.
- Assist with cost estimating, project scheduling, and value engineering analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 10 years of equivalent construction experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, construction quality assurance, or project management.
- Experience with federal construction projects and familiarity with FAR/DFAR regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Micro Station, MS Project, or similar software is an advantage.
- Must pass extensive background checks and secure a DHS security clearance for a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to provide coverage for construction projects across various US borders.
