USA Government Jobs - - Responsibilities:
Demonstrates expert proficiency in major wind-tunnel test execution, model installation, and facility operations; prior or current operator certification for a major wind-tunnel facility is required.;
Provides technical expertise as a machinist specializing in model fabrication to advise and guide customers on optimal model development and wind-tunnel interface requirements and to perform on-site, model-relevant fabrication and modifications.;
Performs work of a broad scope in the design, buildup, adaptation, and modification of mechanical/electrical systems or component parts, which are part of complex experimental research tests.;
Maintains the facility Configuration Management Program documentation making drawing changes, procedure changes, facility resume changes, etc.;
Adheres to existing LaRC Safety Standards and Regulations in the performance of assigned duties.
