Assistant Plant Controller

We are conducting a confidential search for an Asst. Plant Controller with a client company of ours that is a global supplier to the automotive, aerospace, and defense industries. This is a direct-hire position and it is based around Hampton, VA.

This Sr.

-level position will partner with the leadership team in translating business strategy into action that drives business results for this key location.

• Responsible for accounting, financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, inventory management, forecasting, cost accounting, forecasting, and related analytical analysis.
• Responsible for the monthly financial closing process.
• Ensure that internal controls are appropriately designed and operating effectively.
• Responsible for fixed asset accounting, including capital project reviews, asset capitalization and the physical inventory of fixed assets.
• Accountable for inventory management, ensuring that the plant's inventory controls are adequate, reconciling inventory balances monthly, identifying overage and aging material issues, and coordinating periodic physical inventories.
• Responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and variance analysis on costing activities.
