FP & A Analyst III
As a Financial Analyst III at the Hampton VA Sensors plant, you will be responsible for providing financial support and performance analysis to plant management and regional/global operations teams. This role is key in driving actions focused on achieving business goals by influencing and collaborating with colleagues across diverse backgrounds and industries. The position requires ITAR eligibility, ensuring compliance with U.S. export control regulations for the handling of sensitive information and materials.
Job Requirements:
- Serve as a key contributor to the plant strategy by providing financial support and risk analysis.
- Partner with Operations and Product Management to drive financial performance improvements across all operational areas, including material spend, labor, and overhead.
- Support plant controllers in budgeting, monthly forecasting, and month-end reporting.
- Upload Committed Forecast and Risk and Opportunities in SAC.
- Analyze standard costs and actual production costs, resolve cost issues, and review product cost trends over time.
- Perform analysis and monitor inventory discrepancies reported in cycle counts, and material usage variances.
- Support the plant in reviewing capital investments, savings projects, monthly financial performance, and other financial initiatives.
- Prepare journal entries and participate in month-end activities.
- Review and approve savings projects, monitor achievement, and conduct floor audits to identify opportunities for footprint optimization and asset control.
- Participate in annual inventory of raw material and assist in training rotational employees and practitioners.
- Lead ad-hoc projects and provide analysis for Operations and Product Management teams.
- Ensure alignment with corporate policies and ITAR compliance requirements.
What your background should look like:
- Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident).
- Minimum 5+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and data manipulation.
- Experience in general accounting principles and process; strong understanding of financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, reporting, and manufacturing costing.
- Knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, cost accounting, cost analysis, and reporting matters.
- Understanding of financial drivers and their impact within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain matters.
- Fluency in English.
Compensation:
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $90,000 - $115,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
