Provide contract administration support to the Air Force’s program through all phases of the acquisition cycle while implementing the FAR and its supplements.

Contract Administration Support Responsibilities- Provide pre and post‑award contract management support on various contracts in AMIC/PKD with contract types as listed in FAR Part 16.
- Assist in the preparation of solicitation documents, selecting appropriate clauses, ensuring clear and complete specifications, including packing and delivery requirements or other routine supplemental stipulations.
- Assist in the monitoring of contract performance through progress reports and analysis of Contractor metrics for compliance with performance standards, applicable laws, delivery schedules, payment provisions, inspections, progress reports, and other requirements stated in the contract.
- Establish milestones for coordination through functional leadership and support organizations/agencies.
- Review requisition packages for adequacy, consistency, and compliance with administrative, regulatory, and procedural requirements.
- Process additional funds or deobligate funds when required.
- Prepare contract modifications caused by changes in technical requirements, incremental funding requirements, changes in quantities, pricing/unpricing options, and similar issues.
- Conduct cost and price analysis.
- Prepare draft pre‑negotiation objectives and negotiation memoranda to explain rationale and methods used in final settlements for terminations and negotiated changes.
- Prepare full documentation for contract actions requiring formal review.
- Prepare draft replies to other agencies, appeal boards, congressional inquiries, and FOIA Information Requests.
- Draft letters, memoranda, documents, or reports that support contractual actions or recommendations.
- Research and recommend appropriate actions or interpretations of issues.
- Conduct contract closeout procedures according to the FAR, handling all administrative duties of closeout and preparing all documentation for CO signature; physically stage all close‑out files for storage per FAR 4.805.
- Track and log open Purchase Requests (AF Form 9s) and Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs).
- Prepare contract actions in the Government’s contract writing system, Air Force CON‑IT.
- Update and utilize acquisition and contracting‑related IT platforms (e.g., KT File Share, PIEE and associated modules, Share‑Point, Shared drives, Teams, USG websites) and other data repositories.
- Participate in meetings and teleconferences regarding contract performance or actions.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 24 semester credit hours in Business Administration, Public Administration, Contract Law, Accounting, Finance, or related coursework.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Contract Specialist.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ prior/demonstrated experience with the Air Force CON‑IT program for processing acquisition actions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Minimum level II Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification or equivalent (e.g., FAC‑C, CPCM, CFCM).
- Must pass pre‑employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
- Workspace will be in a US Government Facility with controlled access and/or military installation.
- On‑site full time, no telework.
