Central Sterile Service Supervisor

Overview

Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA is hiring a CSS Supervisor (Full Time Day schedule). The Central Sterile Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the sterilization of medical equipment, providing guidance and leadership for personnel, setting up standardized treatment trays, and maintaining sterilization‑related equipment and documentation. Functions as a leader, preceptor and educator. Manages and maintains department inventory and equipment. Collaborates with the surgical team to coordinate timely delivery of sterile instruments for surgeries and procedures.

Assists the leader with compliance to ensure the department adheres to all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and standards. Develops and implements training programs for new staff and ongoing education for current team members.

• High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required)

• CRCST certification (Preferred)
