Position Type:
Full-Time | 5 x 8 Hour Shifts | No On-Call Position

Overview This full-time role consists of five 8-hour shifts per week, with no on‑call responsibilities. The provider will focus, the APP will complete medical H&Ps within 24 hours of the patients’ admission to RMHRC. In addition, the APP will assist with any medical consults that come up within the psychiatric unit. Additional shifts may be available for those interested in supplemental compensation.

• Education & Licensure:
  Nurse Practitioner:
  Master’s in Nursing, current NP license, and board certification (FNP & PMHNP)
• Education & Licensure:
  Physician Assistant:
  Master’s degree and current PA license Eligible for Virginia state medical licensure Valid DEA registration

• Independent clinical decision‑making
• Proficiency in diagnosing and treating common psychiatric and medical conditions
• Familiarity with managed care and Medicare populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer literacy

• Conduct comprehensive physical and psychiatric assessments
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide patient education and counseling
• Prescribe and evaluate treatments
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
