Job Description & How to Apply Below
Koniag IT Systems LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an AI/RPA Solutions Architect with a TS/SCI security clearance to support KITS and our government customer at Langley Air Force Base, VA. We offer competitive compensation and an extraordinary benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, 401K with company matching, flexible spending accounts, paid holidays, three weeks paid time off, and more.
The AI/RPA Solutions Architect is a critical technical leadership position responsible for designing, prototyping, and transitioning artificial intelligence and robotic process automation solutions that deliver measurable mission value across Air Combat Command. This role requires deep technical expertise in AI/ML technologies, hands-on development capabilities, and the ability to translate complex operational requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant solutions across multiple classification levels.
Two specialized positions ensure parallel development pipelines:
Position 1 (NIPRNet Architect) focuses on unclassified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) solutions, enabling rapid prototyping, broader user access, and cross-organizational knowledge sharing. This architect will develop solutions that can be widely deployed, tested, and refined before potential classification upgrades. Position 2 (SIPRNet/AFSCI Architect) focuses on classified solutions operating in Secret (SIPRNet) and Top Secret (AFSCI) environments, addressing intelligence, operational planning, and mission-critical applications requiring higher levels of security and compartmentalization.
POSITION DIFFERENTIATION: NIPRNet vs. SIPRNet/AFSCI Position 1: NIPRNet Solutions Architect Focus Areas:
* Unclassified and CUI solutions with broad ACC enterprise applicability
* Administrative automation, logistics optimization, training tools, knowledge management
* Solutions that can be widely shared, demonstrated, and refined with large user base
* Prototypes that may serve as proof-of-concept for classified variants Typical Use Cases:
* Automated report generation from unclassified data sources
* Natural language querying of logistics and maintenance databases
* Training content generation and personalization
* Administrative workflow automation (leave requests, travel processing, etc.)
* Knowledge base intelligent search and Q&A systems Environment:
* Primary work on NIPRNet systems
* Office environment at JBLE with standard IT access
* Travel to ACC wings for training, demonstrations, and user engagement
* Collaboration with broader DAF and joint community Clearance:
* TS/SCI required (for access to program information and coordination with classified teams), but day-to-day work primarily unclassified Position 2: SIPRNet/AFSCI Solutions Architect Focus Areas:
* Classified solutions for intelligence, operational planning, and mission-critical applications
* ISR operations support, targeting, mission planning, intelligence analysis
* Solutions requiring Secret or Top Secret classification due to data sensitivity
* Compartmented solutions for AFSCI environments with strict access controls Typical Use Cases:
* Intelligence report summarization and pattern analysis
* Threat assessment and predictive analytics
* Operational planning optimization and decision support
* Targeting data processing and validation
* Classified sensor data analysis and fusion Environment:
* Primary work in SCIFs and secure facilities at JBLE
* Regular access to SIPRNet and AFSCI systems
* On-site work at ISR Wings in classified spaces
* Limited telework (classified work must be performed in approved facilities) Clearance: TS/SCI required and actively used; must maintain currency and be prepared for additional compartmented accesses
Essential Job Functions:
* AI/RPA Solution Design and Architecture (40%)
* Prototype Development:
* Design and develop AI/ML and RPA prototypes addressing operational challenges identified by ACC staff, wings, and directorates
* Translate user requirements and mission needs into technical specifications and solution architectures
* Leverage enterprise-approved AI platforms (e.g., Ask Sage, GenAI tools) and RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate) to build functional prototypes
* Develop solutions including but not limited to:
* Automation/RPA:
Repetitive task elimination, data entry automation, report generation, workflow orchestration
* Decision Support:
Predictive analytics, pattern recognition, risk assessment, recommendation engines
* Knowledge Management:
Intelligent search, document summarization, question-answering systems, knowledge extraction
* Data Analysis:
Trend identification, anomaly detection, natural language querying, visualization automation
* Maintain concurrent development of 3-6 prototypes at various stages of maturity
* Conduct rapid prototyping cycles (4-6 weeks from concept to working demo)
* Ensure solutions are designed for scalability, maintainability, and government…
