Hampton County is seeking a skilled IT Specialist to oversee and support the County’s technology systems and operations. This is a hands‑on role responsible for managing IT infrastructure, supporting users, and ensuring secure and efficient technology services across all departments.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily IT operations, systems, and support services
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, networks, and servers
- Manage IT projects, vendors, and work order systems
- Ensure cybersecurity, data protection, and system integrity
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and strategic plans
- Assist with IT budgeting and provide guidance to departments
- Train staff and troubleshoot technical issues
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with network systems, servers, and desktop support
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Government or public sector experience
