Information Assurance II Security Clearance
Overview
The Information Assurance II provides IA support for DUSN (M) claimancy applications, systems and networks for the Department of the Navy Office of Administration (DON OA) - Information Technology Division (ITD).
Responsibilities- Sustain and upgrade Information Systems within the supporting labs and projects.
- Provide expertise in the IT and IA/Cyber fields to support the Government in the day-to-day operations, maintenance, administration, and sustainment of all networks and standalone computer systems.
- Document modification or alteration of the certification and accreditation of the lab space.
- Make recommendations for future upgrades to computer systems with the goal of maintaining adequate lab facilities required to execute the mission at hand.
- Assist in the detailed selection and purchase of software, tools, laboratory and computer equipment.
- Plan and implement lifecycle upgrades as approved by the Government.
- Coordinate and support equipment installation, commissioning, training, and supporting operation.
- Perform hardware installation of end-user devices to include computers, printers, laptops, scanners, and other hardware.
- Implement and validate appropriate patches are implemented on servers for operating system and database software.
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 years experience or AA/AS with seven years of relevant experience
- Registered IAT Level II baseline certification: either CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND, and SSCP (preferred Security+ CE certificate)
