Geo is seeking a Geospatial Solutions Engineer to support geospatial modernization efforts at Langley Air Force Base. This role serves as a trusted technical advisor embedded with Air Force personnel, helping identify operational challenges and implementing innovative geospatial solutions using the Esri ArcGIS platform. The ideal candidate combines strong ArcGIS Enterprise expertise with an innovative mindset and a passion for working directly with users to improve workflows, increase adoption of GIS capabilities, and deliver mission-focused solutions.
This position is an opportunity with the primary location of performance onsite at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Air Force personnel to understand operational requirements and identify opportunities to improve mission effectiveness through geospatial technology.
- Drive innovation, modernization, and adoption of the Esri ArcGIS platform across the organization.
- Configure and administer ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro solutions supporting mission operations.
- Design and implement workflow enhancements that improve efficiency, collaboration, and decision-making.
- Integrate geospatial information from multiple authoritative data sources into enterprise GIS environments.
- Develop and enhance web maps, applications, dashboards, and enterprise geospatial services.
- Improve interoperability between enterprise systems and geospatial applications.
- Support users by providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and informal training on GIS capabilities and best practices.
- Promote enterprise GIS adoption while maintaining continuity and institutional knowledge across the organization.
- Stay current with emerging Esri technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve operational outcomes.

- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience administering and configuring ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience developing or configuring web GIS applications, dashboards, and Portal content.
- Experience supporting enterprise GIS operations in a Department of Defense or federal environment.
- Experience gathering user requirements and translating operational needs into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting U.S. Air Force installations or Air Force geospatial programs.
- Experience with Geo Base, AFGIMS, or other Air Force enterprise GIS initiatives.
- Experience with Python, ArcGIS API for Python, or workflow automation.
- Experience integrating GIS with other enterprise business systems and data sources.
- Esri technical certifications or GISP certification.
The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $100,000 $ 140,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
