Job Description Join Everforth ECS Federal to help lead the day-to-day delivery of a mission-driven, multi-phased program supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We are seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support the execution of a large, complex federal IT and cybersecurity services program that spans multiple phases, including modernization of legacy systems, cloud migration, cybersecurity enhancements, and improved end-user services for VA staff and Veterans nationwide.
The Deputy Program Manager will work closely with the Senior Program Manager to oversee daily program execution, including:
* Schedule management across multiple modernization phases
* Risk tracking and mitigation planning
* Resource coordination and cross-functional team alignment
* Service delivery oversight and operational discipline
* Status reporting to VA stakeholders and internal leadership
* Staffing coordination and onboarding for program personnel This role will help manage the schedule, risks, actions, resources, deliverables, staffing activities, and operational execution across multiple work streams. The Deputy Program Manager will track progress against SLAs, KPIs, milestones, contractual requirements and VA priorities, while coordinating issue resolution, escalation, and communication across program leadership, technical teams, and government stakeholders. This role will help strengthen team culture, service performance, and professional growth across the program while ensuring operational excellence in support of the VA's mission.
Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000 Required Skills
* Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 5 (T5) background investigation (Public Trust Level
5)
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, engineering, or program management
* Minimum 7 years of federal IT project/program support experience
* Experience managing schedules, risks, resources, and cross-functional delivery
* Experience supporting SLA/KPI tracking, operational reporting, or service delivery management
* Strong communication, project documentation, stakeholder engagement, and team coordination skills Desired Skills
* PMP, SAFe, Scrum, or ITIL v4 certification
* Experience in secure or regulated environments (e.g., healthcare IT, HIPAA, FISMA)
* Experience supporting large teams and large enterprise infrastructure programs, Agile delivery, performance dashboards, workforce planning, or continuous improvement initiatives
* Familiarity with VA systems, healthcare IT, or benefits delivery platforms
