Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an IT Specialist to support a government organization focused on enterprise IT infrastructure, network operations, and systems modernization. This position is on-site in Crane, IN or Arlington, VA. The IT Specialist will provide advanced systems administration, network engineering, and Tier III support for mission-critical environments while helping maintain the security, performance, and reliability of enterprise IT systems.
Join a team supporting critical government operations through innovative and secure technology solutions. Responsibilities for the IT Specialist include:
* Perform advanced installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting of enterprise IT systems and network infrastructure.
* Design and oversee system upgrades, network enhancements, and new technology deployments while ensuring operational continuity.
* Provide Tier III support for networking technologies, including IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, and storage networking environments.
* Monitor, optimize, and maintain enterprise network performance across complex IT environments.
* Support infrastructure modernization initiatives utilizing technologies such as IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT.
Required Qualifications for the IT Specialist include:
* 7+ years of IT experience with a networking focus; 10+ years preferred.
* Experience supporting enterprise network environments utilizing IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, and routing technologies.
* Strong troubleshooting, systems integration, and Tier III engineering experience within large-scale IT environments.
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Active Secret (for Crane, IN) or Top Secret (for Arlington,VA) Clearance.
* Current IAT II (for Crane, IN) or IAT III Certification (for Arlington, VA).
* CCNA required; CCNP preferred.
* Microsoft certification preferred; waiver consideration available based on experience.
Compensation for the IT Specialist includes:
* Salary Range: $95, depending on experience
* Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as required by law.
