The Floor Tech Supervisor oversees a team of floor technicians, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in all floor care operations. This role combines hands-on expertise with leadership, guiding staff in maintaining various flooring types across commercial or healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily floor care operations, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and buffing
• Train and mentor floor tech staff on equipment use, safety protocols, and cleaning techniques
• Schedule and assign tasks to ensure the timely completion of projects
• Inspect work areas for quality assurance and compliance with safety standards
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report maintenance needs
• Collaborate with facility managers to plan special projects or deep-cleaning schedules
• Ensure proper handling and labeling of chemicals and adherence to PPE guidelines
• Respond to urgent cleaning requests or incidents promptly and professionally
• Able to work hours beyond the normal schedule to complete projects

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in floor care, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Proficiency in operating floor care equipment (buffers, extractors, auto scrubbers)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment or furniture
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and infection control practices (especially in healthcare settings)

• Respectful and professional in interactions with staff and clients

Requirements

Must be able to pass a criminal background check, with no criminal history

Must have a good driving record w/ proof from DMV
