Assistant Floor Tech Supervisor

Position Summary: The Assistant Floor Tech Supervisor supports the Floor Tech Supervisor in overseeing daily floor care operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. This role combines hands-on expertise with leadership to guide floor tech staff, maintain equipment, and uphold facility standards.

• Assist in supervising floor care staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
• Train new team members on the proper use of equipment and cleaning techniques
• Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment; report needs to the supervisor
• Perform floor maintenance tasks, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards
• Conduct quality checks and provide feedback to team members
• Support scheduling and shift coverage as needed
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, and facility management

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in custodial services preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in floor care or custodial services
• Familiarity with floor care equipment (buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and work on feet for extended periods
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper chemical handling
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence

• Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities
• Passionate about maintaining a clean, safe, and dignified environment
