Position: F-35 LIGHTNING II JOINT PROGRAM OFFICE - SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS M with Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • You will formulate the support and maintenance concepts and maintainability requirements for the assigned weapon system.
  • You will provide cost-supporting data and develop tailored application of the elements of life cycle costing based on authoritative knowledge of the unique characteristics of the weapon system.
  • You will coordinate efforts to improve aircraft readiness and overall aircraft material condition.
  • You will provide the program office with visibility of staffing status to include all staffing Logistics Demand Validation and convey program priorities into the logistics resource allocation process.
Requirements and Conditions of Employment

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition

    Functional Area

    and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames.
  • This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR .
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (NM-04) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following:

  • Demonstrating experience exercising resource responsibility and authority over support budgets through formal budget processes
  • Serving in a leadership capacity managing product support strategy development, implementation, and management, to ensure alignment with sustainment and readiness requirements
  • Demonstrating experience evaluating program objectives to identify and resolve conflict among schedules, funding, and resources
