CNC Machinist

Salary: $62,400 - $93,600 per year

Precision manufacturing company based in Hampton, VA with 50+ years supporting shipbuilding and defense programs. We specialize in CNC machining, welding, and assembly for high precision components.

• Up to $45/hr depending on experience

• Stable work supporting major shipbuilding and defense programs

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to produce parts to specification
• Inspect parts during production using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards
• Troubleshoot tooling, fixturing, and machining issues
• Work with programmers, engineers, and machinists to meet production goals
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines)
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
• Working knowledge of G code and machine offsets
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to hold tight tolerances
• Comfort working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
