Shift and TrainingAvailable shift hours: 1st shift, Monday–Friday 6am–2pm and 2nd shift, Monday–Friday 2pm–10pm. Training occurs 1st shift, Monday–Friday 6am–2pm.
CompensationNew hire starting rate: $24.58 per hour. After 6 months: $27.31 per hour. Hourly shift premium: $1.00 per hour during off‑shift assignments.
Job SummaryThe X‑Ray Tech (Level I) will radiograph and inspect castings, sample parts, and structural members for flaws, cracks, foreign materials, and process‑related deviations.
Essential Functions &Job Responsibilities
- Process parts, document results, and perform equipment standardization in accordance with approved work instructions.
- Carry out preparation of parts before or after X‑ray inspection following approved procedures.
- Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standards and customer requirements.
- Advance toward and achieve Level II certification.
- Receive guidance or supervision from a certified Level II or Level III.
- Only accept or reject evaluations when specified in writing and approved by the Level III.
- Operate X‑ray and film processing equipment.
- Comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines, including regular attendance and occasional overtime.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Internal certification with rectification required every five years.
- Read, write, and apply concepts and basic math.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Undergo a skills assessment to verify aptitude in the skills required to perform X‑ray inspection.
Radiographic imaging equipment, including 320 MEV, 450 MEV, and Linatron units.
Basic Qualifications- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Minimum of one year of related manufacturing and/or NDT experience/training.
- Availability for all shifts, including second, third, and weekend shifts, with willingness to work overtime and on weekends.
- Pass a near‑vision exam using the Tumbling E Chart per ISO 18490.
- Perfect attendance record for internal candidates.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.
- Ability to lawfully obtain access to export‑controlled items.
- Resume and two professional references required.
