CNC Machinist/Operator
The CNC Machinist/Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machine tools to fabricate parts and components for industrial or commercial use. This role requires precise attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work from blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up a variety of machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, drills) to produce high-precision metal or plastic parts.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the dimensions and tolerances of the parts to be produced.
- Choose the correct cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on the materials being worked with and the specifications provided.
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to ensure parts meet the required dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure proper function. Report any mechanical issues or breakdowns to supervisors.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet high-quality standards, performing final checks before parts are sent to assembly or finished product stages.
- Adjust machine settings to optimize performance, including correcting or making changes to tolerances during production runs.
- Identify and resolve machining issues such as incorrect dimensions, tool wear, or machine malfunctions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machine tools and their operation, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Experience with precision measurement tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine tools, parts, or production processes.
- A high level of precision and accuracy when machining parts to ensure quality standards are met.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in machining, manufacturing, or related fields is a plus.

Skills:
- Familiarity with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines or basic knowledge of programming for automated machinery.
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00/hr (based on experience; overtime available)
