Sentara Care Plex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Cardiac Unit.
Shift: Nights
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekly Scheduled: 36 hours
Responsibilities- Assess and admit patients.
- Perform rounding checks.
- Give medications.
- Communicate with family members.
- Provide overall care of patients.
- Virginia or Compact Multi‑State license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
- RN‑Associate’s Degree
- RN‑Bachelor’s Degree
- RN‑Diploma
- RN‑Master’s Degree
This is a 24‑bed Medical/Surgical Stroke unit where patients receive telemetry monitoring. Care is focused on determining the next step for each patient, which may involve cardiac catheterization, transfer to a heart hospital for surgery, or diagnostic testing such as a stress test or echocardiogram.
