Job Specific Details and Tasks:
The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate CPR classes and publish available class times as needed by NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC)
- Prepare CPR instructional areas, including equipment and materials required for the class
- Complete all paperwork, post-course rosters and maintain records as required by AHA
- Provides a range of nursing services, including preventive health care counseling
- Coordinates health care needs and makes referrals to medical specialists
- Assesses and treats minor health problems
- Administers emergency treatment
- Performs advanced cardiac life support
- Performs limited portions of physical examinations
- Perform medical evaluations and provide treatments for occupational medical injuries and illnesses within scope of contract effort
- Perform computer medical data entry: patient visits, treatments and services administered, medical chair/records documentation
Minimum Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse (RN)
- 2 Years Registered Nurse Experience
- Current RN License - Commonwealth of Virginia
- Maintain American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Course C
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider certification
- Possess current American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor certification and stay current in the AHA curriculum and standards to maintain professional certification.
- Possess strong soft skills (communication, teamwork, problem solving, organization, resourcefulness, flexibility, conflict management, critical thinking, work ethic, etc.).
