- Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
- RN‑Associate’s Degree
- RN‑Bachelor’s Degree
- RN‑Diploma
- RN‑Master’s Degree
- Assess and admit patients.
- Perform rounding checks.
- Administer medications.
- Communicate with family members.
- Manage overall patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for optimal care delivery.

Emergency Department OverviewSentara Care Plex Hospital Emergency Department offers exceptional emergency care. The ED has 43 beds, including 11 fast‑track beds for patients with shorter lengths of stay, and board‑certified emergency physicians. Nurses receive specialized training and hold Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric certifications.
