Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Child & Adolescent
Annual Salary: $52,278 + $3,000 Sign-on Bonus
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm (until 7:00 pm one day per week)
The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Child & Adolescent Outpatient team. As an LPN in Child & Adolescent Services, you will support psychiatric and medical care for youth receiving medication management services.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the psychiatrist with medication management and treatment planning
- Administering, monitoring, ordering, and dispensing medications
- Conducting routine physical and mental health assessments
- Completing medical intakes and obtaining vital signs
- Monitoring clients for medication effectiveness and side effects
- Providing education and supportive counseling to clients and families
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
- Managing medication inventory and ensuring proper medication security
- Scheduling medical appointments and coordinating follow-up care
- Communicating effectively with treatment team members regarding client needs
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program with a current, active Virginia LPN license and one (1) year of experience administering medications in a psychiatric, behavioral health, substance use treatment, long-term care, or related healthcare setting.
