Sentara Care Plex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Surgical Unit.

Hours:

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Shift: Nights
Weekly Scheduled

Hours:

36 hours (3/12 Hours)
Weekend:
Rotating

This position’s primary duties include assessing and admitting patients, performing rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of patients.
Work closely with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional postoperative care.
Provide care to patients with general medical needs when necessary.

Licensed Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Education:

RN‑Associate’s Degree, RN‑Bachelor’s Degree, RN‑Diploma, or RN‑Master’s Degree.

Inpatient Surgical Unit primarily serving postoperative patients with complex needs across surgical specialties:

• Vascular
• Neurosurgery
• General Surgery
• Orthopedic
• Podiatric
• Colorectal
• Bariatric
• Plastic
• Gynecologic
• Urologic
