Registered Nurse; RN - Cath Lab

Overview

Sentara Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab at Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA. This is a full‑time day shift position requiring on‑call with a 30‑minute response time. The role includes a sign‑on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates.

• Perform nursing care in the cardiac catheterization laboratory using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, evaluation).
• Apply clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards of practice and professional performance in a critical care environment.
• Assist with invasive cardiac procedures, endovascular procedures, and interventional radiology procedures.

• Minimum education:
  
  ASN or RN Diploma (required); BSN or MSN (preferred).
• RN licensure in Virginia; BLS certification within 90 days of hire; ACLS within 1 year.
• Prior acute‑care experience (ICU, ED, etc.) and/cath‑lab experience preferred.
• Experience circulating and monitoring invasive cardiac procedures or interventional radiology procedures preferred.
• Proficiency in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, leadership, and evidence‑based practice.
