Sentara Careplex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for Medical Oncology.
Location:
Hampton, VA.
Work shift:
Third (Nights).
Hours:
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Scheduled weekly hours: 36.
- Virginia or Compact Multi‑State RN license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
- RN‑Associate’s Degree, RN‑Bachelor’s Degree, RN‑Diploma, or RN‑Master’s Degree.
- Assess, admit, and provide overall care for patients, conduct rounds and checkups.
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy/biotherapy drug administration (certification required after 6‑month hire).
- Provide pre‑ and post‑surgical care, hospice and palliative care, and sickle cell management.
- Communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary team members.
The unit is a 16‑bed Medical Oncology unit specializing in solid tumor oncology, hematology oncology, and surgical oncology patients.
