Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Oncology Unit
Location:
Hampton, VA
• Shift: Nights (Third shift: 7:00 PM‑7:00 AM)

Hours:
36 hrs weekly with rotating weekends.
As a Registered Nurse on Sentara’s Medical Oncology Unit, you will assess and admit patients, perform medication rounds, communicate with families, and provide overall patient care. You will work collaboratively with a skilled team to deliver high-quality oncology care.
Responsibilities• Assess, admit, and document patient conditions
• Conduct medication and chemotherapy/bio‑therapy administrations (certification required after 6 months)
• Provide pre‑ and post‑surgical care, hospice, palliative, and sickle‑cell management as needed
• Participate in patient rounds and interdisciplinary meetings
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and compliance with institutional policies
- Virginia or Compact Multi‑State license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – within 90 days of hire
- RN Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or Master’s Degree
- Sign‑on bonus up to $15,000 and relocation assistance (eligible)
