Senior Inpatient Case Manager- Registered Nurse

Overview

Sentara Careplex Hospital – Hampton, VA is hiring an experienced Senior Inpatient Case Manager RN to focus on complex cases.

Full Time – Day Shift, 40 hours per week.

Hours:

Mon‑Fri, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with on‑call commitments to include holidays and weekends.

Assumes responsibility, accountability and leadership for the daily operations including coordination of work, quality and service for inpatient case management. Assists supervisor for assigned site/function. Participates in work activities of assigned teams and provides case management services as needed. Maintains fiscal accountability for departmental activities. Provides feedback on hiring and evaluations of personnel. Functions in an inpatient practice setting.

• Education:
  
  RN – Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree.
• Licensure:
  Registered Nurse (RN) License—Compact/Multi‑State or Single State – Virginia.
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association;
  Case Management certification (ACM, CCM, CCCTM, CMAC or CMGT‑BC) required within one year of eligibility.
• Experience:
  
  3 years of nursing experience (required); 3 years of case management experience (preferred).
• Health‑care experience in an acute care hospital setting.
