• Current and valid RN license in the state of Virginia
• Experience or strong interest in pediatric nursing and school health is highly desirable
• Familiarity with individualized healthcare plans and working with students requiring 1:1 care
• Effective communicator who works well with students, staff, and families
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions in a school setting
• CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations

• Provide direct 1:1 nursing care and supervision to a student during the school day
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs, and manage complex medical needs as outlined in the student's care plan
• Collaborate with school staff on accommodations, safety protocols, and ongoing health assessments
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding procedures, interventions, and communication
• Serve as an advocate for the students health and well-being throughout the academic day and possibly during ESY
• Respond swiftly to emergencies and communicate changes in the students health status to appropriate parties
