** Hampton, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting quick response and coverage across the property.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to on-site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.

+ Monitor activity for suspicious behavior and potential theft indicators, document observations, and communicate with store personnel to support loss prevention efforts within post orders.

+ Complete detailed written reports, maintain accurate incident logs, and perform security-related checks of doors, gates, and alarm points according to site procedures.

* + A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ A guard card/license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
