Armed, Unarmed and Event Security Officers - Spot

Overview

Securitas is seeking professional and dependable Event Security Officers to help create safe, enjoyable experiences at concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other special events in Newport News, VA.

• Wednesday, May 27: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Thursday, May 28: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• We offer weekly pay, excellent benefits, employee perks, and assistance with education.

• Pay rate: $20.00 per hour
• After 30 days of employment, you will receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus

• Pay rate: $17.00 per hour

• Minimum of 1 year of security experience, law enforcement experience, or military experience required (no exceptions).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be open to working weekends, event coverage, and mandatory overtime (as needed).

All security positions are full-time. All shifts are available. Weekend and event coverage is required.

• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Security positions require passing a drug screen and background check.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.

Security Officers/Security Guards observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.

• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
• May include climbing stairs, walking up inclines, and navigating uneven terrain.
• Physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
