Required education:
Bachelor’s degree + 6 years’ experience OR Associate’s + 8 years’ intelligence or targeting experience. Minimum 10 years intelligence or targeting experience in lieu of no degree; at least part of the required experience must be within the past two (2) years.
This position is contingent upon award of contract. We are seeking a Mid‑level Targeting Analyst to support the Air Combat Command (ACC) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations. The Targeting Analyst develops, analyzes, and maintains targeting data and products to support operational planning and execution across the full spectrum of military and intelligence operations. This position requires strong analytic skills, knowledge of targeting methodologies, and experience operating within Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) environments.
The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to integrate multiple intelligence sources, apply established targeting frameworks, and produce accurate, actionable targeting products in support of national security objectives.
As a Targeting Analyst, you will directly contribute to mission success by enabling precise, informed, and lawful targeting decisions. Your analysis will support operational effectiveness, reduce risk, and help safeguard national security interests across a wide range of mission environments.
Responsibilities- Develop targets and target systems for joint lethal and / or non‑lethal engagements.
- Develop target nominations, create database records, and database target intelligence products.
- Apply doctrinal targeting processes (e.g., F2T2EA
or equivalent) to mission requirements. - Produce all‑source analytic damage estimates and battle damage assessments and assist with combat assessment requirements.
- Conduct collateral damage estimation, perform target list management, target strategy development, and provide joint target intelligence support to deliberate and dynamic target engagements.
- Provide recommendations for target prioritization to achieve commander objectives for plans and operations.
- Provide database nominations, create, and update database and upload TMs into databases.
- Strong understanding of targeting principles, methodologies, and tradecraft.
- Ability to integrate intelligence from multiple sources and disciplines.
- Experience producing targeting packages and operational decision‑support products.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communications, including briefings.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, classified environment.
- Proficiency with standard office tools and intelligence systems.
- Strong knowledge and experience using ICD 203/206 tradecraft standards.
