Top Guard Security provides armed security officers at industrial, commercial, and governmental facilities in the Hampton Roads area. The role involves monitoring client property and ensuring safety.

• Demonstrate professional demeanor and customer service at all times.
• Situational decision making; notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Current active DCJS Armed Card.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Experience in military, corrections, security, or law enforcement preferred.
• Positive attitude.

• Monitor facility and property of assigned client.
• Adhere to Top Guard rules and client parameters.
• Write reports on provided electronic device or on paper.
• Make notifications to client’s contact and Top Guard management.

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Specialized law enforcement, security and/or military experience or training preferred (1‑year or more required for some contract sites).
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time, up to a full 8‑hour shift.
• Speak audibly, clearly and understandably to convey information.
• Weekends and holidays required.

• DCJS Armed Card.
• No criminal history for background investigation.
• DCJS Unarmed Card (if applicable).
• Valid Driver’s License with up to 3 tickets.
• Military or security experience.

This job reports to the Account Manager.

This is a full‑time position, available for 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, and Weekends.
