Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance and repair of movable bridges, industrial machinery, electrical and plumbing equipment, generators, and custodial/lawn maintenance. Light troubleshooting of various machinery types.
• Support installation, maintenance, and repair workers with parts replacement, tool provisioning, painting, general labor, cleaning work area, machines, and tools, and holding materials or tools for other workers.
• Provide preventive maintenance service to machinery, generators, etc.
• Provide daily and weekly inspection reports of equipment.
• Be on call as needed.

Basic safety, power tools, handheld tools. Attentive and motivated.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; computer training with Microsoft Office background.

• CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

• Considerable physical activity, heavy lifting, pushing, pulling of objects up to 50 pounds; physical work is >70% of job.
• Exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations requiring safety precautions and protective equipment.
• Nearly constant exposure to extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
