Directional Drill Operator​/Locator

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring Directional Drill Operators and Locators for our Hampton, VA operation.

• Operate directional bore equipment for underground utility construction
• Assist foreman and/or supervisors with all duties
• Operate trenchers, plows, backhoes, and bobcats
• Operate tampers, jackhammers, drills, and saws as needed
• Work in the field with the crews completing work

• Hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) - highly preferred
• Meet all DOT physical and drug testing requirements
• Have prior knowledge and experience of underground utility installations
• Can read and interpret blueprints and follow job specifications and orders
• Communicate effectively with teammates
• Follow directions and be willing to work in a team environment
• Willingness to travel is a plus
• Starting pay $28 per hour, dependent upon applicable experience and certifications
• Bilingual and prior construction experience are highly desirable
