PORTCO, Inc is a non‑stock, non‑profit, 501(C)(3) corporation located in Suffolk, Virginia. Since 1991 it has provided transitional, supported employment, and vocational services to individuals with disabilities who could not independently secure and maintain competitive employment.

• Provide input and assist Program Director in planning and evaluating program and participant goals.
• Assist all staff and substitute for DSP as needed in special situations.
• Assist in the implementation of individualized program goals for each participant.
• Train and assist participants with job tasks at all work or community sites and support contract operations.
• Maintain and document participant accidents/incidents, compose daily progress notes, and meet DMAS/DBHDS documentation standards.
• Notify Program Administrator of concerns/issues regarding participants or facility maintenance and repairs.
• Participate in scheduled staff meetings and other assigned meetings.
• Assist participants in active involvement in daily activities to achieve greater independence through person‑centered planning and self‑determination.
• Maintain and submit required records and reports.
• Transport, accompany, and supervise participants for scheduled work sites or other activities.
• Ensure safety and well‑being of each participant during service hours.
• Supervise participant lunch period and oversee arrivals and departures.
• Establish and maintain rapport with other service staff involved in participant support.
• Work with 2–3 individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a direct support or related service role.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurance eligibility for job‑related driving.
• Must be able to pass a security clearance and background check.

Hourly rate: $18.00.
