Salary: $69,850 -- $112,220
Salary: $73,343 -- $117,831 (if also a licensed clinical social worker)
Duties And Responsibilities ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION- Provides in-home psychosocial assessments.
- Contributes special knowledge of human behavior and relationships to staff.
- Consults with parents regarding ways they can help their child become effective in school.
- Provides crisis intervention services.
- Provides direct services to students and parents.
- Serves as liaison between school, families and community agencies.
- Assists the school in planning programs that prevent, reduce or alleviate situations which interfere with the learning process of students.
- Organizes time, resources, and services to meet workload demands.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and punctual records.
- Abides by NASW's Professional Code of Ethics.
- Must possess or be eligible for a Virginia Pupil Personnel Services License with an endorsement in School Social Work (Eligibility: earned a master's of social work degree with a minimum of 60 graduate-level semester hours; or earned an advanced standing master's of social work degree with a minimum of 30 graduate-level semester hours).
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is preferred.
- Ability to analyze and interpret information to make recommendations regarding needs for services.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, school personnel and resource persons in the community, and mediate differences between family members and school personnel.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time.
- Provide own transportation and maintain a valid driver's license.
