Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
Looking for a job with Purpose, Engagement, and Impact? We’re hiring strong, reliable, and motivated individuals to support adults with developmental disabilities across our Residential, In-Home, and Community Engagement Programs.

What You’ll DoAs a DSP with UNITUS, you’ll be on the front lines helping individuals build independence, confidence, and life skills.
- Mentor and coach individuals with developmental disabilities in real-life situations
- Coordinate community outings, fitness, recreation, and daily activities
- Support independence in community and residential settings
- Help individuals develop discipline, structure, and social skills
- Transport individuals safely to appointments and activities
- Maintain a safe and positive environment
- Respond calmly to challenging situations
- Be a role model through your actions, communication, and leadership
- Take initiative and lead
by example - Are comfortable being active and engaged (not sitting behind a desk)
- Can handle responsibility and stay calm under pressure
- Have a passion for helping others grow and succeed
- Want to turn your work into something meaningful
Experience is a plus, but we will train the right person with the right mindset.
Flexible Schedules Available ;
- Day shifts
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Virginia driver’s license, able to present a driving record
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Strong communication skills and professionalism
- Basic computer skills and proficiency using computer applications and mobile apps
- Willingness to complete required training (we provide guidance and support)
